    Vasa dynasty was a Swedish and Polish royal dynasty of the ancient history of Europe. It was established by the regent of Sweden of the year of 1521. He was Gustav Eriksson Vasa. He was the first king of the dynasty in the year of 1523. The founder of the Vasa dynasty had changed his name and became famous in the name of Gustav I Vasa. The renowned dynasty of Sweden and Poland was named by him.

    His grandson became the king of Poland in the year of 1587 and stayed as a king till 1632. He was famous in the name of Sigismund III Vasa. He also ruled over the territory of Sweden during the years of 1592-1599. The Vasa dynasty also ruled over the area of Poland. The sons of Sigismund III Vasa were succeeded to dominate Poland. Wladyslaw IV Vasa ruled that territory from the year of 1632 to 1648. After him John II Casimir Vasa ruled Poland from the year of 1648 till 1668. After them the dynasty was ended in Poland.

    Vasa dynasty ruled over Sweden till the year of 1818. The last king of the dynasty was Charles XIII.
