The most important thing to remember when you are learning to drive a car is to PAY ATTENTION!  Keep your mind on your driving, not the song playing on the radio or CD player, not your cell phone, not your kids in the back seat or your dog hanging his head out of the window.  Pay close attention to your driving or you could cause a serious accident.  In America, many states plan to pass laws that make it a crime to talk on a cell phone while driving.  If you have the radio blasting, you won't be able to hear emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks; again, you could cause an accident.  In addition to paying attention to your driving, pay attention to the "other guy's" driving as well.   Be careful of people driving too fast or driving right up on your back bumper, or weaving in and out of lanes. You could be the victim of an accident caused by irresponsible drivers.

When learning to drive a car, you must be ALERT!...Not just alert with yourself but alert with other drivers because their lives as well as your life is in your hands as well.  There are  some crazy drivers out their and they don't care about anything except getting to their destination...So when your sharing the road with other vehicles, just remember...Take  your time....Don't be so tensed...Be relaxed...If your a beginner driver...Then have y our hand at 10 o clock and 2 o clock and when you become an expert you'll be able to fully balance the car with just one hand...Actually it'll become a habbit...When your first learning how to drive, the reason its so important to keep both hands on the wheel is because of balance...  You don't want the car to be swirving and wheeving all around....So just take your time and pay attention and remember, practice makes perfect.
