How Do You Donate Furniture?

Every charitable institution accepts furniture to be donated. One can refer the yellow pages for it. Old age homes, hospitals, clinical camps, orphanages, schools and more of such institutions may require furniture. One can also contact the Salvation Army in these situations. The local community centre may also accept furniture for it may be of their use.

Usually, the charity arranges for the furniture to be picked up if a formal request is made. The charity will issue a receipt against the acceptance of the furniture. The receipt should be saved for tax purposes. It is always better to donate to the people who are in need than just dumping it into a junkyard.
