Would You Want To Know If You Are Going To Die?
Your doctor discovers you have a fatal disease and not much time to live. Naturally he cannot really ask you "do you want to know you are going to die" since that would kinda give it away anyhow. But would you want to know or remain blissfully ignorant?

I would not want to know because if you don't know you're going to die then when you do, you won't even know it happened because you would be dead.

I tend to agree about not knowing. Could it not be that knowing death is impending it might make it tough to enjoy what time you have left?
Well there is the thing that only god knows when we are going to pass but in that case i think I would rather know for my families sake! But if it was just me and i didn't have a family i wouldn't want to know!

I would want to know just so my family could know how much time we have left together
I guess I can understand that. On the other hand, we never really know do we? After all, a doctor could tell us we have months to live, then we get hit by a bus tomorrow. I kinda lean towards the notion that the only real difference between someone who a doctor has given a time frame to and everyone else, is the person who the doctor has "condemned" happens to have a general idea when death is coming, and the rest of us do not. But your answer is very much appreciated.
I most definitely would want to know. Therefor I could spend every last day of my life preparing family and child. And getting to the caribbean one last time before i go to heaven. I have no doubts at all i would want to know rather than not knowing.

On the other hand, should we not already spend everyday as if it were our last, especially when dealing with family and such? After all, if you spend every day as your last, one day you will be right.

I would definitely want to know if I'm dying. I won't be able to live with the uncertainty. I will always wonder if I'm okay or not and the not knowing if I'm going to live or die would kill me in any case so I would want to know
