What Is The Plot Of The Film Any Given Sunday?

The film Any Given Sunday made by Oliver Stone is a film about the battle of the gridiron, the game of American Football, where on any given Sunday, fortunes can be won or lost.

The film is about the Miami Sharks, a once legendary team who have recently fallen on harsher times.  Tony, their manager is under pressure from his new boss, the daughter of his friend the previous boss.  When their star quarterback is injured in the first game that we see and the second line quarterback is injured immediately after that, it falls to third rank QB Willie Bemen.  Bemen first pukes, but then begins to play for his life.  His antics get him noticed, but he won't play the games the way he is told to, ignoring coaching the plays.  Willie is bringing success but it is causing rift in the team.  Should the star quarterback come back early and tempt becoming paralysed.  Tony must bring his team back together as his own life falls apart.
