How To Apply Eye Liner?

Follow the following steps:
1. Select appropriate eyeliner for the eye color. Make sure that the liner balances the color of the eye shadow.
2. Select the liner type. Pencil eyeliner gives eyes a softer touch, while liquid eye liner gives precision and accuracy.
3. Prepare a coat liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a slight amount of water to the brush. And if one is using pencil eyeliner, make sure that pencil is well sharpened.
4. Hold the pencil or brush like a pen and move the soaked brush gently through coat liner or dark shadow.
5. Incline the head back to some extent and bring eyes to a half-open shape. This will create a good position for the application of liner and one can see what she is doing with half eyes open.
6. Try to sketch a line above the lashes of upper lid, from the inner (the tear duct) corner of the eye to the outer corner of the eye. If liquid liner is used then allow it to dry first and then open the eyes.
7. If brush or a pencil is used then gently blend the line with brush, finger or cotton swab in order to soften the look.


Tips & Warnings
• For beginners liquid liner can be messy but keep on practicing.
• Brushes should be washed frequently.
• Inside liner in lower lid may cause infection. So better beware.

It depends on how you want to look with it, or what makes you look best. If you want the eye to look larger, you apply it to the underside, and outerside of the lashes, and if you want your eyes to look smaller, then you need to pull the upper lid up a little, and apply it to the flat part of the eye where the two eye lids meet, and do the same to the lower lid, but do not do them all the way across, because if you do, you can clog up the tear ducts, and you could eventually get an eye infection. You should always apply from the inwards to the outwards of the eye. It sometimes helps if you pull your eye outwards  from the outer corners  to make the surface smooth for the eye-liner.
