Which Team Has Had The Most Different Goal Scorers In One Match?

    Liverpool football club hold the English football league record for the most scorers in a single league match.  

    When the reds beat Crystal Palace nine, zero at Anfield on the twelfth of September nineteen eighty nine, eight different players scored the goals.  

    The goal scorers that day were, ex Scottish full back Steve Nicol who scored two, former England international Steve McMahon, Liverpool's record goal scorer Ian Rush, Gary Gillespie, ex England and Newcastle legend Peter Beardsley, former Tranmere Rovers manager John Aldridge, former Liverpool captain John Barnes and former Swedish international Glen Hysen.  

    Fifteen years previous, Liverpool had set the record for European competition when they hammered Norwegian side Stromsgidset eleven, nil in their first round match in the nineteen seventy four, seventy five European cup winners cup.  

    Nine different players got their name on the scoresheet that day and the eleven nil victory is still Liverpool's record win.
