Why Can't We Apply Cloning In A Human Being? What Are The Ethical Issues Surrounding It?

Answer Question

What is ethical?  Does a human baby have to be the product of  a man and a woman intent on being  a family?  We are already taking sperm from a donor man and mixing it with a egg, from a woman, in a petri dish and then implanting it in a  woman in a Lesbian relationship.   Is it ethical for man to create life?  Is it ethical to manipulate life?  What if the motives are altruistic such as to cure degenerative diseases?  Ethics usually come from canon law or scripture.  What are our ethical guidelines in regard to cloning?

Trying to could create humans with monstrous defects, is the most compelling reason not to.  Some limited therapeutic cloning is allowed in some places -- for embryos up to about 14 days old.
