Who Owns A Licensed Tow Trailer If It Is Left On Your Property?

Answer Question

Even though the tow truck was left on the property it is still owned by whomever holds the current registration. If there is no current registration for the vehicle you can legally have it towed if it is on your property. If it is not on your property then have the city tow it.

Contact the your local DMV or police department. They should be able to tell you exactly what legal rights you have in order to have it removed.

In most states if it is left for more then 30 days it becomes your property.
