Maybe I don't understand your question, coz it seems a bit simple to me, and yet there isn't a single answer. Answer could be
    400, 500 or 1000.

All three are whole integer multiples of 100.
All three are greater than 300.
All three can be multiplied by another whole positive integer number to make 2000. A factor is a number that divides another number without remainder, so we can't consider cases of multiplying by fractions.

    400 * 5 = 2000
    500 * 4 = 2000
    1000 * 2 = 2000

The other numbers that are greater than 300, even, and still multiples of 100, are
    600, 700, 800, 900, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900.

But none of those in the last list divide neatly (without a remainder,) into 2000.

My answer is 2100. Since 2100 is greater than 2000 and multiple of 100

No, it needs to be greater than 300, a factor of 2,000 and an even number. 2,100 is NOT a factor of 2,000.
