What Are Signs And Symptoms Of Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I was diagn. With RA by my pcp, then a Rheumatologist said the contrary, the ccp, rheumatoid factor,c-reactive protein and sed rate are positive.

    Joints tend to become red, swollen, tender and warn. Stiffness usually prevents their use. en.wikipedia.org www.medicinenet.com

      Swelling, soreness, and redness in more than one joint, especially on both sides of the body..... Such as in both wrists or knees.  Your dr can give you a blood test, which can determine if it could be RA.  There are a small percentage of people who test negative and still have RA, but the blood test is a good first place to start.  Don't delay.... Early treatment can save you a lot of pain.  Onset of RA is usually mid 30's in men, and early 30's in women, but there is also JRA, (Juvenile RA), that can onset at any age.  If you are getting conflicting diagnosis' you may want to see a different Rheumatologist for a 2nd opinion.
