Portland is a city that is at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers, it is located in the United States of America. The total population of Portland is close to 555,000 it is the largest city in Oregon and it is the third largest city in the Pacific Northwest coming behind Seattle, Washington and Vancouver in British Colombia. Approximately there are around 2 million people living in the surrounding metropolitan area, the city of Portland is the 24th largest city in the United States of America.

Portland is the county seat of Multnomah and was incorporated in the year 1851. The city and the region of Portland a very well known for the strong use of land and its planning, it is also known for its heavy investment in public transit.
