    Fresh water is considered as that water which is usually less than 0.5 parts per thousand dissolved salts. Usually lakes, rivers and bodies of ground waters have fresh water. In other word fresh water is basically derived form rain. Fresh water is the most important kind of water as it is very important for the survival of humans as well as life on the earth.

    In actual figures on 3 percent of the earths water is considered to be fresh water, while nearly two-thirds of it is frozen in the glaciers and polar ice caps. The rest of the water is ground water and 0.3 per cent is surface water. Fresh Water Lakes holds nearly seven-eighths of fresh surface water. The atmosphere comprises of only 0.04 per cent of fresh water.
