    Get a windows vista bootable CD. Insert in the CD-Rom, and reboot the PC. When the booting process is complete, press any key to continue and wait for the screen to load. Then you will be asked about the location of installation, overwrite the existing operating system or quit. Select the destination folder and format the drive you select to install windows vista, make sure that the file system you select is NTFS.

    As soon as the formatting is complete, the files necessary for installation will start get copying on the drive. When this step is complete, a new screen will appear, and you will be asked for the Registration key, your location and time zone. Keep following the instructions on the screen. The PC might get rebooted itself 2 or 3 times during the installation process. Then you will be asked to enter your country code, area code this is process that configures your modem, then all the other drives will get installed. Do not remove the CD from the CD-Rom until the installation is completed.  As soon as all the drivers are installed, a new screen will appear and you will be asked to enter the login user name and password, if you don't enter the password, you will not be asked for the password to login. The windows vista is installed.
