What Exactly Is Sea Salt?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Sea salt is developed from the natural evaporation of ocean water and it is usually created in man-made pools in a protected shore. Basically I contains 98% Sodium Chloride and compared to ordinary salt, that makes it a tiny bit healthier as ordinary salt as 99.9% Sodium Chloride. Another good thing about sea salt is that it contains no added sugar, Potassium iodide or anti-caking ingredients. Another little fact about the salt is that it has been considered as Kosher by the rabbis, which allows it to be used by observant Jews.

Sea salt also has a lot more flavour than ordinary salt. Professional chefs use it as a crust for baked potatoes and they also use it in Thai and French food too. Compared with the ordinary salt, sea salt is not actually as salty and so often it has to be adjusted to match your individual taste. Overall it is healthier and it has a lot more flavour than ordinary salt.
