Well this may come as a surprise to all, but Leslie McFaren has several pennames. He has all together worked under three pseudonyms.
He started using pseudonyms in the year 1926. This is for the book "Dave Fearless". He wrote seven books for this series under the name Roy Rockwood. From there on he went to write nineteen novels for the series of Hardy Boys. Here he used the name Franklin Dixon. No doubt this book made the author quite famous but not the ghost writer at all.
Then he started writing the Stratemeyer Syndicate series. Here he took up the name Carolyn Keene. And he wrote the book of Dane Girls. Yes he worked on the first four volumes of this book under another name.
Thus now that you think about it, you have known the author's work all your life but the true credentials did go to somebody unreal.
