Turmeric has been prized for thousands of years, and is used all over the world.  Indian cooking includes Turmeric frequently as an ingredient in curry dishes.

Ayurvedic tradition lists Turmeric as a  treatment for gastrointestinal and inflammatory sicknesses.  Topical ointments containing this spice are used often in India to treat bruises and localized pain.

In Western culture, this golden yellow spice is prized for its antioxidant properties.  The yellow polyphenol pigments, often referred to by scientists as curcuminoids, give Turmeric its anti-ageing properties.

Studies show that people who eat a large amount of Turmeric have lower incidences of Alzheimer's disease, as well as other neurological diseases, heart attacks, and strokes.

Turmeric enhances the liver's ability to eliminate carcinogenic toxins, making it an incredible cancer fighter.
