You can play chess on the eMac. To access Chess, click on 'Finder' , then 'Applications' and then scroll down and click on 'Chess'. If you want to alter the settings of the game then click on 'More Info'.
The arrows in the 'More Information' section allow you to hide information. You can alter some settings by clicking on 'Details' and then by clicking on the padlock icon to unlock the options. As these are in the 'Ownerships and Permissions' section, there may be some options that only the computer admistrator can change.
Chess on the eMac allows you to play against the computer, select the playing difficulty and you can also save your games.
