FIRST you need to resolve the leak issue to make sure it does not re-occur. Then, to completely get rid of the mould, you need to replace the infected ceiling / drywall with new stuff. If you don't, the mould will keep coming back.

I would notify the person/persons you rent from of the situation asap. At the most I would put a tarp over the area on the roof to help prevent more water from coming in, and then I would give the receipt to my landlord for the tarp for it to be taken off rent. Don't do any repairs to the apartment, because then they could blame the damage on you. This might be of some help www.rentlaw.com
I would also take pictures and have a few friends look at it as witnesses just in case the landlord is a jerk.
