Is The Surname Bolton Found In Ireland?

Yes though it was once more widespread than now.
It is a locational name which originated in the Englsh town Bolton. It became established in Ireland around the seventeenth century. It was found all over Ireland but was most numerous in County Antrim and County Derry and Dublin.
In De Burgh's Landowners of Irelnd 1887, fifteen families of that name held extensive estates in thirten counties, but only one in Ulster.
