My cat gave birth to 3 kittens on Sunday nite but she has 6 nipples she doesn't look as if she has any more babies inside her but why has she more nipples then babies?

Every cat has between 6-8 nipples, they are born with the amount, just like people are born with 2 (Normally) the amount of kittens they have has nothing to do with the amount of nipples they have. They may have more or less kittens. Its like saying a human has to have twins everytime they give birth because they have two nipples.
