    A brimstone moth is basically a moth that belongs to the family of Geometridae. This moth is almost found all over the Palearctic region and the Near East.

    This moth comprises of bright yellow wings, which consist of small brown patches all along the cost of the forewing as well as a small brown-edged white stigma on the forewing as well. The wingspan is approximately 33-46 mm. However, the reproduction system is very uncertain. They can produce one offspring a year or sometime even three offspring's over a span of two years. This moth is mostly all during the day and during the night you will possibly find them where the light is. Their food mainly comprise of apple, birch, blackthorn, currant, hawthorn, Prunus, rowan, serviceberry and willow.
