    Nuclear fusion is a nuclear reaction in which the atomic nuclei of low atomic number fuse to form a heavier nucleus with the release of energy.
    On the other hand, nuclear fission is a nuclear reaction in which a heavy nucleus splits spontaneously or on impact with another particle, with the release of energy.

      Thanks for the answer. I got the idea now.

      This means that FUSION is the opposite reaction of FISSION.
