Trees Are Dying, What Be Cause It?

I live in the Phoenix desert and have been living in our house for three years. We have two older trees in the front yard. This summer they appear to be gradually dying even though we deep water and fertilize them on a regular basis . We also have a problem with large palo-verde beetles burrowing in the yard. Any ideas why the may be dying? Maybe the beetles are eating the roots??

Yes your idea can be right that beetles are eating the roots. There can be other factors too. May be the ground where these trees are staying is now becoming unhealthy for them. You have to consult with forest department for the remedy.

THe County Extension Office or the Foest Dept. have hot lines. If there is a problem in your area then they can tell you what to expect.

It's not natural for them to grow there, Kid! Just look at the desert and ZAP there are no trees anywhere! It's not what Mother Nature had in mind, Kid!
Plus the ground is so hard there!

How about that one messing up your sewer lines? Is it gone?
