The Sony dcrdvd92 camcorder cannot be connected to the PC using a USB cable. Video that has been recorded on these machines can be transferred to a PC using a DVD drive. The camcorder does connect to the PC and Sony claims that this takes a matter of seconds. Your computer and the camcorder have to both have a firewire port in order to connect. A firewire port is known as IEEE1394, iLink or Digital Video (DV). The camcorder can also be used as a Web Cam. In order to do this the camcorder should be plugged in to an electric power source other than its battery pack.
