    It depends on what you are trying to do with the enamel. A wash would be different than spray would be different from brush, etc. It can also be affected by the environment and what you plan to paint. The best thing to do is to experiment with the enamel and mineral spirit on a test object or inconspicuous spot until you get the effect you desire.
