You want to swallow volcanic ash as an "intestinal cleanser". Whatever happened to psyllium seed husk? Not trendy any more, I guess?
Use it topically; it's recommended as part of a wet clay pack you cover your head in. Maybe just the lying down still that makes blood pressure decline, but worth a shot, and definitely no risks involved.
Read more about bentonite clay.
Undertaking any sort of detox programme, including taking Bentonite, causes some people to have fluctuations in blood pressure; obviously, people already with high blood pressure don't have a lot of room for manoeuvre. Plus, any ongoing treatment to lower their blood pressure might suddenly be "too strong" if the bentonite made blood pressure suddenly dip.
The other concern is that if you are on any oral medications for your blood pressure, the bentonite will prevent absorption; it scrapes out the meds along with any residue food supposedly stuck in your intestines. So the main contraindication is really between bentonite and anybody taking essential oral meds.
