Can I Ask Or Force A Landlord To Put In Sound Deafening Underlay If Their Tenants Are Disruptive?

We have noisy neighbors with three kids under the age of 5 living above us. The kids are always running, jumping, stomping...and worse the parents have elephant steps. We own our unit...but the unit above is being rented to this family.

You can ask but you can't force a landlord to do that. Most likely wont do it but you can ask. You can call the cops and make a complaint.they have until 11:00 pm to make reasonable noise but jumping, running and stomping is not reasonable. Complain to the association also. Be advised that once they find out about the complaint they might purposely do it louder to piss you off.

You can ask, but you can't make them do it. About all you can really do is complain about them, and do it often, then the landlord will have to take action on them. Hope this helps, good luck.
