The Mongols, this race is found in china, Japan, Central Asia, Baltic Lands, Balkan Peninsula, Hungary, Madagascar, Australia, and America; and is probably originated in the Tibetan Highlands or the Great Mongolian Desert. The main centers of its population are in Japan, china, Malaysia, Mongolia, Manchuria, Tibet, Turkistan and Siberia. The color of the skin is yellowish brown.

The skull is broader at the top and smaller at the bottom, almost, like an inverted cone. The nose is concave and small. The jaws are moderately prognathous. The lips are thin. The cheek bones are very prominent. The eyes are black, coarse, and small. The hair is long. They are found in cross section. The beard is practically absent or only at the chin. The average height is from 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 6 inches.
