    Many important historic events took place in the late 15th century and early 16th century. Severe earthquakes happened in north of France and England. But the most disastrous earthquake that took place in the 16th century was on 6th April 1580 and it was called as the Dover Straits earthquake. This earthquake occurred at about 6 o clock in the evening. Where as the earthquake that took place in Shaanxi was in the year 1556.This earthquake killed around 830,000 people.

    Whereas the other important event that took place in the 16th century was the construction of Globe theatre. This theatre was constructed in the year 1599.This theatre is significant because Shakespeare belonged to this theatre. This theatre was destroyed because of fire. But this theatre was rebuilt on June 1614.This theatre was later on named in the name of Shakespeare and it was called Shakespeare's globe theatre.
