Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

In the United Kingdom complaints regarding police officers can be sent using an online form. A complaint can also be made at your local police station where you should ask to meet the senior police officer. You can also contact the Independent Police Complaints Commission, their web address is www.ipcc.gov.uk . You can also try and follow the matter through your local MP or your own solicitor. You may also choose to contact your local bureau of Citizen's Advice. Their web address is www.nacab.org.uk.

You can make complaints related to misconduct towards you or where you have witnessed the same. The details you will need to provide as part of your complaint will have to include what happened, the time it took place, the nature of what took place, the people who were involved, the names or presence of other witnesses if any, the identity of the police officer if known etc.
