What Music Is Best For Relaxing?

    This is largely a matter of personal taste.  Some people find that listening to heavy metal soothes and relaxes them, whilst for others only classical music will do.  Research indicates that overall, Bach and Mozart may be viewed as the most conducive to relaxation.  However, if you don't like classical music then listening to these is likely to cause tension, rather than promoting relaxation.

    Recently specifically designed 'relaxation music' has become more widely available.  This music has been developed to assist people to chill out and wind down and is available in a wide variety of formats, from birdsong to the sounds of running water or even Gregorian chanting.

    Some people find it useful to experiment with different types of music for relaxing and to keep a notebook indicating how useful they found a particular type of music and how tense they had been before the music and how they felt afterwards.  This helps them source the most effective means of relaxing which is unique to them and their particular tastes, even if that means that they can only relax to Black Sabbath…

      Very light rock helps me, or R&B, and also Blues.

        I think the music thats like Beethoven or Bach

        Their really relaxing to me
