Answer Question

Depends upon the kind of rice - short grain needs the least amount of water -  for every cup of rice, 1 1/4 cup water, for long grain for every cup of rice 2 cups water, brown rice takes even more - make sure not to lift the lid after you're done boiling for at least 20 minutes

If you have 3/4 of a cup of rice you should use a 2 to 1 ratio of water to rice meaning use 1 1/2 cups

In indian cooking you use one glass water and double the amount of water so one glass rice is two glass water
