What Is The Basic Unit Of All Living Things?

    Basic unit of living things is known as cell. In fact cell is the structural and functional unit of all of the living things either plants or animals. Cell is a very very small unit which can vary in size depending upon the organisms like animal cell is bigger than the bacterial cells. There are various organisms who do not have cells because they are non-cellular and come in very primitive group of living organisms like viruses. On the other hand, all of the living things have cells. There are two types of cells which are known as prokaryotic and eukaryote cells. Bacteria has prokaryotic cells while plants and animals have eukaryotic cells.
