I'd call a vet's office really soon, and see if they suggest bringing the animals in to be checked. If you can't go that route, look on the package that the flea powder came in and see if there is a number for the manufacturer, or a website, and go there to ask them if the flea powder is toxic to the animals if it is ingested. A last resort might be to call your local Emergency Poison Control number....you'll usually find it in the local phone directory listed with other emergency numbers....they pretty much have the low-down on all poisonous or hazardous chemical substances, or they can get the information for you quickly. They might also be able to let you know if the substance could cause harm to you or your Mom, too.

You can not use dog flea medication on cats. It will kill them. It causes them to have seizures. Either way it sounds like something is very wrong with them. Call your vet ASAP.

The flea medication sounds like they have ingested more than what they can handle and are having seizures.. I lost a cat from this once before and saved the other three.. Just the smallest one of the bunch did not survive the ordeal... Please wash them in warm soapy water and if this does not work get to a vet asap!!!!!

If there was pyrethrinis in the treatment this is likely to be an adverse (alllergic) reaction, take them to the vet! I gave a cat a flea bath and she began to shake, I thought she was just upset from the bath, so I wrapped her in a towel and held her closely, when it soaked into my skin I got tremmors - pyrethrims are not as safe as they advertise!
