    Hungerford is a town located in the county of Berkshire in England in the Kennet valley region which lies on the border between the South Eastern and South Western parts of England. The town situated on the banks of the river Dun, a tributary of the Kennet River, also lies close to the boundary between the counties of Berkshire and Wiltshire.

    Some of the villages lying in the vicinity of Hungerford are Ramsbury, Little Bedwyn, Burbage, Shalbourne, Inkpen, Aldbourne, Froxfield, Great Shefford, Chilton Foliat and Kintbury while the major towns located nearby are Marlborough, Swindon, Reading, Newbury and Lambourn with Newbury being the closest lying approximately 16 km from Hungerford with the two owns being part of the same parliamentary constituency (Newbury).

    Hungerford is well connected with respect to transport by way of the M4 motorway, the Kennet and Avon canal and a railway station linking Hungerford with the nearby towns and London which is at a distance of 109 km from the town.
