It's Better To Give Than Receive. What Do You Think?
It's rather simple. True or false?

I absolutely love to give. I donate in the Salvation Army tubs, I let my daughter do it too, as well as the coin drops at the grocery stand. I love to give in making someone better when they are sick, or talking to someone who might be feeling down. I feel good when I can do these things.

Everyday I see more kind and benevolent people on this site. Thanks for the answer.5/5 stars.
Thank you for the compliment.
Thank everyone for their inputs. Such kindness is rare, but to see so many people who would rather give than receive is a reward within it's self.

Well, it's better to help the truly needy the question is how to tell if at that point and time they need the help. In other words if you we're to come across someone asking for a helping hand and you gave them say 20 dollars to help out. Then you see them cross the street and hop into a brand new Lexus ,what would you think? Then the question you and i can not really answer is maybe they are living in the car or have just lost their house. So i guess the answer is yes it is best to give . Because we don't know the whole story behind why someone would be begging out on the street or why certain charities need assistance. Only God knows the right answer in each case. Besides i give to a charity that knows who/what/where /when and how people need help in my area all the person has to do is ask.

Faith without works is dead... We have faith.. we do works of charity because we are known by the fruit we bear.. so when we do a good work.. it matters not if that person were indeed needy or a con-man. The fact remains that what is done is done for the right reasons.. and as you are judged by your good act.. if they are in fact running a con.. they to will be judged for their action. So really.. there is no need to justify weather or not they truly were in need.. the good act is done.. because it is the right thing in the eyes of God.. NO????

your not related to pavel are you?lol
Hmm.. The best part of receiving is really in the excitement of wondering what it could be and the expectation of something wonderful & new. once you have it.. Most of the time the best part is over. IN Giving however.. You can go on with the perception that You have made someone else happy and that happy shiny vibe can last for days..

There is some fun in receiving but there is a greater JOY in giving. To see someones face light up at the unexpected is a joy, to pay it forward is also a joyful feeling. It just gives me a sense that I am doing the right thing. It may not always be a lot, but I always try to do something.

Giving is much better as you get to see the joy it gives someone much longer then the joy to receive

It is better to give than receive. There is something about not being selfish and wanting to help others who truly need help. I would buy someone something to eat before giving a street person money because I don't know if they would use it for drugs or alcohol. I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I give gifts and have a hard time waiting for them to open them. I really want to give them something that they would like.

Giving is much better than receiving. When giving you are helping others. Either making them happier or by donating making a better life and making people happier. So give!!

I love to give. I get a big thrill when I can do something or give something meaningful or helpful to others. To me, giving is receiving. It is the reception of joy and true Love.

No doubt to give...give something to someone daily, allbeit a smile or friendship, anything you possibly can...give your heart to someone deserving of it. then whence you have given all you can, know dying that you've left a part of yourself here on earth.♥
