Kimbolton is huge village situated in Cambridgeshire England. The exact geographic location is seven miles east of Highham Ferrers, seven miles west of St Neots and approximately twenty four miles west of Cambridge, fourteen miles north of Bedford and thirty one miles south of Peterborough. Even though in principle a village, the place has a well worked out centre, with a small market place has an urban look to it rather than that of a small town.
The main attraction of the town is the Kimbolton castle which also makes up for the Kimbolton School, although at one period of time it was a prison as well as home for Catherine of Arogon who was the first wife Henry VIII. Catherine expired in the Kimbolton castle in 1536 and was taken to Peterborough cathedral for burial.
