Roxy Music was formed in the early 1970's by Bryan Ferry, an art school graduate. It is an English rock band that existed from 1971 through 1983. They reunited in 2001, for a concert tour. The band includes four members viz. Bryan Ferry on keyboards, Phil Manzanera on guitar, Andy Mackay on saxophone and Paul Thompson on drums. Bryan Ferry is also the lead vocalist for the band. Former band members included Brian Eno and Eddie Jobson. Eno quit the band following disagreements with Brian Ferry.

Mackay and Manzanera shared Eno's concerns, however, decided to stick with the band. Roxy Music temporarily broke up in 1976 and got back together in 1978 to record a new album Manifesto. The album was however, recorded with a reshuffled line up that was reflected in a change in their music. The band toured till 1983, after which Ferry dissolved the band to start a full time solo career.
