The parliamentary elections recently held in Algeria generated results in the form of the win of the ruling coalition nevertheless with a reduced majority.  The reason for this reduced majority was the attitude of the voters who had lost their confidence in the ruling coalition as in the light of the majority opinion the ruling coalition offered very little assurance in providing solutions to the problems of the masses.  This was expressed by the Interior Minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni who clearly stated that the two main reasons for such a result that generated the lowest turnout of 35 percent was poor state of participation and a great number of spoiled ballots.  Moreover it reflects the state of increasing awareness on part of the citizens, whose expect ions, in relation to their cognizance are amplifying tremendously mainly circling around the need of a concrete and effective government, which has the capability to adapt to the gamut of changes that are taking place in the Algerian society.
