Have you taken him to your local public school to do a speech-language screening? Does he use full sentences when he talks? Sometimes food issues are co-existent with speech and language issues as well. If he is found eligible for therapy services, they can teach you how to feed him most efficiently and help to reduce his phobia by things like gentle massaging of his cheeks and face and stimulating the inside of his mouth with lemon ice. Call your local public school. They'll probably direct you to where he can get a "multisensory" screening...and usually for free.

yes he does use full sentences when he speaks speech and language have never been a problem
