My Cat Has A Sable Tooth Which Sticks Straight Out. I Was Told This Is The Beginning Of The End. My Cat Is 19 1/2 Yrs Old. Is This True?

When my daughter's cat had the same thing , she was tested and was told she had cancer. She was told the cat had less then a yr. To live . Her cat started bleeding all over the house from the hole the tooth left and couldn't eat anymore and died within 3 months. My 19 1/2 yr old cat now has the same sable tooth and but eats normal. Should I worry yet?

Teeth can get out of line for all sorts of reasons, only one of which is cancer.
Having said that, your cat is old, so make the most of it while you can - none of us know which will be our last day.

I'd take my cat to the vet to have a full check up done. I wouldn't wait to see if he/she starts suffering. 19 1/2 is a great golden age for cats but some live into their 20's so get him/her that check up. You'll feel better and your vet can tell you what you need to know.

Have the Vet give a look at the feline and a physical. Pulling is the most likely action to the just loose or maybe abscessed tooth. Nineteen & a half testifies to a good diet and exercise routine, at least up to now! Pussy cat may have two, three more years to live an active life, let's hope! Should the examine turnout a poor report and if in the future Kiddies prognosis be doom & gloom...do consider the 'youth in Asia' option, for kitty's sake?
