6 weeks the mom will start to wean them and they can go to their new homes. You can start to feed the kitten food at 6 weeks.

You can wean a kitten at six weeks of age. Make sure that they are eating solid food good before you let them go to new homes.

Kittens should not leave mom until at least 8 weeks, preferably 12. While weaning begins at 6 weeks, it isn't over for a bit longer. (When weaning starts, they both eat and nurse.)
