There are several things you can do to get rid of tiredness after a journey.
Number One on the list is to drink plenty water. No matter how careful you are, it is easy to become slightly dehydrated, and tiredness and headache are sure signs of this. On long journeys, especially in the confined space of a car or aircraft, air conditioning can add to this problem. And no-one wants to go to the toilet in an aircraft if it can be avoided.
After topping up with water, get some fresh air and exercise. A bracing walk is good, better still is to go for a refreshing swim and notch up a few lengths.
Another good way to banish tiredness is to go for a shower and get into some clean clothes and relax. But stay away from alcohol or anything else that might make you feel sleepier than you are already.
Finally, if none of these appeal, the only solution may be to give in and go to bed.

That depends to some extent on how you've travelled. For instance, if you've travelled by a long distance by plane, there could be a problem with jet lag, in which case you may be stuck with it for a few days. The best thing is to stick to your normal routine, however difficult it is to get up etc, because then your body clock will soon get back to normal. If jet lag is your problem, there is some helpful advice for preventing/ minimising it on future journeys, at bbb.co.uk/holiday/travel_tools/jetlag
After a long car journey, I usually find I function better if I immediately get some air and exercise. A lot of the tiredness comes from being physically cramped and, if you are the driver, having to concentrate and use your eyes all the time. Moving about in the fresh air, even for a few minutes, should restore some energy. A hot drink helps too. If you are still tired, just lying down with closed eyes for 5-10 minutes (more than that could make you groggy) can have a big effect.
