My RCA 60" Rear Projection Tv P60920bl Has No Sound! Help!

I was watching TV early in the morning and the volume was working fine on my RCA 60" P60920BL then the volume shut off. I figured i sat on the remote and hit mute but that isn't the case. I've unplugged this thing for over 5 hrs. No luck. The picture is perfect the volume is gone. Maybe someone can help tell me what the proper name for the RCA audio/video is called? Maybe someone can help me? PLEASE HELP!!

I've checked the menu nemerous times and made sure the audio and speakers are on and turned up. Where can I get the audio chip? I've taken what I think could be the audio chip and tried to go by the part numbers. Yet finding them online has been a headache. part numbers 1518844 and 157272DL. I can snap picks of these if that could help. Or if there is a number or website. that would be great.

Ok, so I have no sound coming from my TV.  So I decided to experiment with all the cable and wires.  His could have been one easy fix but I let myself get so frustrated.  Well do to the audio chip(s) or whatever I guess burning out.  I figured to try the audio jacks from the cable box and run the rca cable from the box to my stereo receiver.  All of a sudden the EQ starts moving like there is sound.  So i then decide to try hooking my surround sound speakers to the stereo.  EUREKA!!!  I HAVE SOUND!  Only annoying part of the whole deal is that if I want to play video games I have to switch the RCA cable to the other set of RCA jacks for the games. Only a two step deal but annoying when at first I could just be lazy and push one button for video games. Pretty confusing to explain but so far so good. Plus my little girl can hear guitar hero when she plays.  Now what I don't want to have happen is only a temporary fix with the RCA cable and have the sound go bye bye again.  Well so far so good.  I am happy that there is sound.  If someone can come with a better idea.  PLEASE feel free to let me know.  I'd still like the sound to come from the TV also.

I sympathize with you.  I hope you have another television until you get this resolved.  If it is an old TV, I suggest an upgrade...
