Liffe festival basically is a well known International film festival held in Slovenia. The 16th Liffe film festival attracted approximately 51,000 spectators and screened around 108 films. Around twenty seven of the screenings were sold-out; the festival had around fifty five guests.
The main aim of the 17th Liffe was to screen those non-Hollywood and auctorial films which are not given regular Slovenian distribution. Last year approximately twenty seven festival films were shown in Slovenian theatre with an average of 25% of the films shown as LIFFe. The 17th Liffe was held between 10th and 24th November 2006, it attracted a large number of movie buffs and filmmakers to Ljubljana.
Serge Frydman, Udo Kier, Dagur Kari, Anno Saul, Vantura Pons, Marc Rothemund, etc were some of the guest who attended the festival.
