The Shaftesbury Avenue of London is where the Gielgud Theatre is located. It is a West End theatre and is named after John Gielgud, a British Actor.

The theatre has many memorable productions to its credit and some of them are A Waltz Dream, Fallen Angels and The Importance of Being Earnest.

'The Importance of being Earnest' is the play written by the legendary Oscar Wilde. The set of the play was the Victorian era England and the humour in the play was derived from the younger brother of the lead Character John. The name of the younger brother was Earnest. Oscar Wilde had himself felt everything that he was writing about and that was one of the reasons for the popularity of his plays.
