My Cat Has Blood In Poop. Is It From Eating Raw Food? She Has No Other Symptoms.

She is 5 months old on a nearly 100% raw food only diet. She eats store-bought frozen food, fresh chicken livers/gizzards/wings, beef, fish. Is the blood a concern or from the red meats?

Change its diet and observe any change in it. There can be many causes like Allergy, Infection, Trauma, Inflammation Parasites, Cancer of colon or rectum area, Foreign material in colon or rectum, Disease of the anal sacs, Constipation / stool buildup causes lower bowel damage, stool and matted hair block the exit of the bowels or the anus and tissues may lose blood secondary to infection and pressure on tissues. But, still every thing depends on the color of the blood or it is fresh blood or not. Take your cat to pet for a thorough examination. Check if it is constipation. Change its diet to fluid intake.

If it were my cat I would get it to a vet right away. Cats and dogs have been living healthily off of dog & cat food for a long time. I have had many cats and dogs in my life and I think that the high quality pet food sold at pet stores is the best for them. I suggest not making any drastic changes to the cat's diet. Take the kitty to a vet, and get your baby on real cat food.
