I was arrested for theft by taking, charge dismissed after fully explantation and payment made to me as well as complaint. This occured in 2001/ I went to get a job and was denied. I would like to get this expunged

The Atlanta Legal Aid Society has a very helpful step-by-step guide to this. You have to go to your local law enforcement office and there may be a small charge, but basically it seems fairly straightforward. Good luck.
