In an attempt to promote the drive of cleanliness, the Indian Supreme Court banned the street hawkers of New Delhi (the state capital) to cook food on the pavements, which becomes a definite cause of pollution and filthiness. The ban was a big setback to those thousands of inhabitants of New Delhi whose daily eating ritual was inclusive of enjoying street treats for breakfast and lunch in between their hectic schedules.
